ISOLE

Images and sounds from Ireland and Sicily in the 1930’s

“Isole” (Italian for Islands) is a collection of newly edited short films with archive footage from 1930's Ireland and Sicily.

Agricultural and fishing life, religious rites and musical and dance traditions of the two islands are presented side by side in a unique series of films that exalt the similarities and the differences in life at the very north and very south of Europe between the two great wars.
